After the release of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, which was a huge success, EA is planning to release the latest and greatest from the Battlefield series called “BAD COMPANY 2”. This game is due for release on March 2,2010 but how will this first person shooter game compare with the highly successful Modern Warfare 2 and a recently release huge multiplayer online first person shooter game called MAG? Here is what you need to know about Battlefield – Bad Company 2:

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 features a variety of improvements to the game play and additions. These include 24 player online support, four man squad game play, which is new to this series and 8 huge multiplayer maps. You get to drive tons of vehicles including the newly added ATV and UH-60 transport helicopter. If you get the Limited Edition for the Playstation 3, you get classic battlefield weapons!

You start off by choosing one of 4 character classes (medic, assault, recon and engineer). You can experiment with different classes and depending on the tools you find and the combat style you like. You can customize your character to your exact liking . There are 15+ kit variations to help you achieve this and on top of that there are 46 weapons with 200 different customization opportunities. There is in total 15 gadgets and 13 character specializations.

There are many game environments including jungles, deserts and beautiful snowy mountains. The graphics of this game is superb which is not a big surprise being a game from EA. Like in many other first person shooter games, your objective here is to level up and unlock new pins, insignias and stars as you battle though the story. There are also a total of 50 achievements that you can earn

The multiplayer component of this game is huge. There are two major game modes here. First is the 24 player online multiplayer mode, the second is the where you get to team up with 7 other friends (4 player teams in 2 exclusive squads). Your objective here is to fight together in order to unlock exclusive team awards and achievements.

What’s so special about Battlefield : Bad Company 2 is that each match delivers a very unique and dynamic experience. This is because there is now a new engine called the “Frostbite” engine. This engine takes the level of destructible game environments to a whole new degree. Now you can take down entire buildings or blast holes though covered areas. With environments like these, there is simply no place to hide and this will keep you on your toes from start to finish.

But that is NOT all. There is a Limited Edition of Battlefield Bad Company 2 for the PS3 and Xbox which includes 4 vehicle warfare unlocks and 2 Classic Battlefield 1943 weapons.
