yakuza-3-ps3
For those of you who have never played the first 2, Yakuza 3 is actually the fourth game in the Yakuza series and is developed by Amusement Vision. This game is exclusively for the Playstation 3. I enjoyed playing the first 2 as I’ve always love the battles and the story line is not bad as well. So what are the distinct difference between Yakuza 3 and the previous ones? Here are 4 things that you should know:

-No more loading blank screen which means you can now enter battle mode from adventure mode in a flash
-A new battle mode called chase mode. In this mode, the usual battle mode is replaced with a chase sequence. The goal is not allow your own running gauge to deplete while you are chasing your target. To do this, you need to avoid obstacles and things that might hurt you. The chase is ended when either you or your opponents gauge runs out. .
-Ten revelations which allow you to new Heat Actions
-You can now enter first person view by pushing the R3 button. This mode is used to better observe your surroundings and allows you to read posters better.

What is really amazing in this game is that Tokyo and Okinawa are rendered with stunning accuracy, something that you do not see often in game anymore. There are also a ton of different mini games to play. These include billiards, karaoke and golf.

Here’s Yakuza 3’s official trailer:

The game, as described by the producers, is mainly focused on Japan, Adults and Males. The main story has 133 side stories called sub-scenarios and a total of 20 mini games is available within the adventure mode. Here is a short game play video of what gamers should expect:

Yakuza 3’s biggest improvement over its predecessors, is in the way the game looks. The graphics is truly amazing. The introduction of the Magical V-Engine creates realism by allowing the main characters to have their face scanned through Cyberware’s head & face color 3D scanner
